Held every year at the beginning of October, this surfing event is an annual men's surfing professional World Championship tour governed by the World Surf League (WSL). They have kept it up as a mobile event and depending on where the best waves are, the contest can move up and down the coast, visiting the waves at Hossegor, Seignosse, and even Capbreton. Despite the physical challenges, participants rarely need any special augmentation to their boards or fins for their surfboards. The event takes place from the 4th to the 12th of December at Pismo Beach, California. This event is the culmination of the Vans Triple Crown and the last event for the World Surf League Championship Tour.
