1. Noosa Festival of Surfing

One of the world’s biggest surfboard riding events is at Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Australia. 2. Quiksilver Pro France

Held every year at the beginning of October, this surfing event is an annual men's surfing professional World Championship tour governed by the World Surf League (WSL). They have kept it up as a mobile event and depending on where the best waves are, the contest can move up and down the coast, visiting the waves at Hossegor, Seignosse, and even Capbreton. So, if you’re planning to attend the competition, make sure you have some sort of transport, like a scooter or a bicycle, that will allow you to switch between locations.

3. Pismo Beach ISA World Para Surfing Championship

Para surfing is an adapted form of surfing that allows people with physical disabilities to ride ocean waves on a surfboard. Despite the physical challenges, participants rarely need any special augmentation to their boards or fins for their surfboards. The event takes place from the 4th to the 12th of December at Pismo Beach, California. It is also the largest international Adaptive Surfing World Championship to date, bringing together the top Para Surfers from all over the world.

4. Billabong Pipeline Masters


This event is the culmination of the Vans Triple Crown and the last event for the World Surf League Championship Tour. Held annually at Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii, every 8th to the 20th of December, this reef break has the most iconic and historic wave in history. Held in September at the Huntington Dog Beach, California, this annual event features a canine competition in tandem with their owners. The event is guaranteed to impress as well as entertain.
